Ryan Butler

Ryan Butler, P.E. is a highly experienced civil engineer with over 11 years in geotechnical engineering and construction oversight. Currently serving as the Chief Dam Safety Engineer and Senior Principal Civil Engineer at Consumers Energy, Ryan supervises engineering for regulatory compliance at 13 river hydroelectric facilities. Previous roles include Principal Engineer and Project Manager at NTH Consultants, where Ryan managed design and construction projects from $10k to $10M, and Geotechnical/Tunnel Engineer at Hatch Mott MacDonald, focusing on tunnel and pipeline projects. Ryan holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University.
