Greg Schar

Greg Schar has a diverse work experience starting in 2011 at Lowe's Home Improvement as a Delivery worker, responsible for preparing deliveries and setting up products. Greg then worked at Scripps Networks Interactive as a System Administrator, providing support for hardware, operating systems, and applications. Greg transitioned to Clayton Homes as a Desktop Support Technician, leading a computer rollout project and managing the return of old computers. Greg later joined MarketStar as a Google Representative, assisting customers with Google products. Greg then joined Peak Hosting as an Operations Support System Administrator Lead, handling technical issues and providing coaching to team members. Greg worked at Blount Memorial Hospital as a Technical Support Analyst before joining Contegix as a Linux & Windows Engineer, providing maintenance and administration of production servers and supporting various software solutions.

Greg Schar began their education at Pellissippi State Community College in 2008 and completed their Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in an unspecified field of study in 2012. From 2012 to 2014, they also attended Pellissippi State Community College, where they obtained an Associate's Degree in Computer Science / Networking. In 2019, Greg enrolled at Western Governors University, where they pursued a B.S. degree in Cloud & Systems Administration.

In terms of certifications, Greg has obtained several through various institutions. In 2018, they received the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services, followed by the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification in 2018. In 2019, Greg obtained certifications from CompTIA, such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Project+, CompTIA Systems Support Specialist, CompTIA IT Operations Specialist, CompTIA Linux Network Professional, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist, and CompTIA Security+. Additionally, Greg earned the Certified Linux Administrator (LPIC-1) certification from Linux Professional Institute in 2019.
