Joyce Erony

Joyce Erony is the Director at Contego Medical. Joyce was previously the Vice President of Finance at nContact, Inc. from June 2008 to May 2016, when the company was acquired by AtriCure, Inc.

Erony was responsible for investor and board relations, financial modeling and analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, cash management, and inventory planning at nContact. Joyce also established long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies, and ensured compliance of all financial functions.

Under their leadership, the company evaluated competitive bids, negotiated and closed $20 million in debt, significantly strengthening the company’s balance sheet. This allowed for funding of pivotal IDE and growth of sales team. Erony was also a key member in 4 rounds of venture financing that resulted in equity raise excess of $40M.

At nContact, they also managed accounting, sales support, and outsourced IT support. Joyce negotiated and closed contracts for equity financings, key suppliers, customers, international and domestic distributors, debt, facilities, and physician contracts. In addition, they directed sales team through annual sales targets and establishing commission plans aligned with corporate objectives and negotiation of national hospital contracts.

Erony was integral to the sale of nContact to AtriCure, Inc. Joyce engaged with investment bankers on corporate presentations and strategic meetings, and was the primary contact with legal counsel and acquirer’s management in diligence process. Joyce also presented financials and forecasts during discussions with potential acquirers. After the sale, they worked with AtriCure management team to integrate financial operations, inventory, sales, customer and physician contracts, and benefit plans.

Joyce Erony has a BS in Management and Accounting from Hartwick College, and is certified as a Certified Public Accountant from North Carolina.
