Roger S. Welker

Roger Welker, Director of Business Development for Context Business Lending, leads the firm’s sourcing and origination efforts in the Southeast. Based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Roger leverages his experience derived from over 30 years of commercial finance industry experience to evaluate the needs of potential borrowers while supporting his network of deep relationships built with commercial banks, credit intermediaries, brokers, private equity firms, and other business leaders. Prior to joining Context, Roger held business development positions with CIT, Wells Fargo Capital Finance, and most recently with Merchant Financial Group. Roger has spent his career creating customized capital solutions for middle market businesses for working capital support, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate needs. Roger is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, from which he holds a B.S in Economics, and Emory University, from which he holds an MBA.
