Charlie Brown

Charlie Brown is an experienced leader in civic engagement and social innovation, currently serving as the Executive Director of the Trust for Civic Life, where responsibility includes guiding a philanthropic collaborative to strengthen democracy through community-driven initiatives. Previously, Charlie co-founded Context Partners, focusing on design thinking and participatory design, and held roles such as CEO and founder of Alta Futures, where strategies for democracy and climate were developed. Prior experience includes leading Ashoka's Changemakers, where innovative online community models were pioneered, and serving as a Lead Consultant for the National Parks Conservation Association. Educational achievements include an MBA in International Business and Environmental Planning from the University of Denver and a B.S. in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech.
