Josh Hoegen

Lead UI engineer at ContextLabs

Josh Hoegen has worked in the tech industry since 2003. Josh began their career as a Video Editor at Prime Time Video, then moved on to a Web Designer role at Connect Studios in 2007. In 2008, they became a Lead Software Engineer at VMS Alarms. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as a Drupal Engineer at The College Board, where they were responsible for the conception, maintenance, creation and deployment of Drupal modules and themes, as well as architecting UI solutions and data visualization. In 2017, Josh joined National Geographic as a UI Architect, where they worked closely with directors and product owners to architect JavaScript solutions using vanilla JS, React, and more to lead teams and projects. In 2019, Josh took on the role of Lead UI Engineer at Context Labs BV.

Josh Hoegen completed a Visual Communications degree in Visual Design from Katharine Gibbs in 2003. Prior to that, they attended Pilgrim High School.
