David Dörner

David D. has a diverse work experience in the field of web development and architecture. David started their career as an ASP.NET Developer at DelaGet, LLC in 2006, where they worked on building new ASP.NET pages and converting classic ASP pages to .NET.

In 2008, they joined Priority Integrated Marketing as an ASP.NET/CMS Developer, where they built custom admin systems for websites and worked extensively with Sitefinity CMS. David also developed multiple websites using Sitefinity CMS.

From 2008 to 2010, David worked at Horizontal Integration as a Senior Developer/Sitecore Architect. During this time, they worked on over 20 Sitecore projects, focusing on data template architecture and development. David also worked on Active Directory integration and built custom data importers and website modules.

In 2010, David joined COMSYS as a Consultant, where they worked with the Ektron CMS, developing custom applications and working on .NET customizations for clients. David also worked with SQL Server and developed Ektron widgets and controls.

From 2011 to 2013, David worked at ICF Ironworks as a Senior Consultant. Here, they primarily worked as a Sitecore architect, providing estimation, development, and consultation for integration projects involving Sitecore. David also trained internal developers and architects on Sitecore.

In 2013, David joined Sitecore as a Technical Architect and Instructor. David ran training classes, worked on internal projects, and developed new modules for Sitecore.

From 2014 to 2015, David returned to NTT DATA Americas as a Freelancer, where they provided expert Sitecore architecture and development experience for a mission-critical project. David established best practices for new development efforts and trained other developers and architects.

In 2015, David took an intentional career break as a Freelancer, before joining NTT DATA Americas again in 2015 as a Solution Architect. David provided architectural solutions and worked on various projects.

Most recently, in 2017, David joined The Toro Company as a Sitecore expert. Their role involves adhering to Sitecore and WCMS best practices and helping the company from end-to-end. David expressed enthusiasm for leaving the consulting world and working in a more stable environment.

David D. began their education at Normandale Community College, where they pursued an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Computer Science from 2001 to 2003. Following this, they continued their studies at the University of Minnesota from 2003 to 2005, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Apart from their formal education, David has obtained numerous certifications in the field. They include the "Advanced User Certification for Sitecore CMS 6.5" from Sitecore, the "Microsoft Certified Professional" certification from Microsoft, the "Security Administrator Certification for Sitecore CMS 6.5" from Sitecore, the "Sitecore CMS 6.5 Advanced .NET Developer" certification from Sitecore, the "Sitecore DMS 2.0 .NET Developer" certification from Sitecore, the "V1 OMS Certified Marketer" certification from Sitecore, the "Web Site .NET Developer - Sitecore 6.0 2008 certification" from Sitecore, and the "Website .NET Developer Certification for Sitecore CMS 6.5" and "Website .NET Developer Certification for Sitecore CMS 7.0" certifications, both from Sitecore as well.
