Amber Carrizales

While Amber is a military brat who’s lived all over the world, she’s proud to call Texas her home and will tell anyone “I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could!”. She has a background in marketing but has had her eye on recruiting and human resources for a while, so she is extremely excited about this opportunity with CAG. In her free time, Amber enjoys listening to true crime podcasts, watching dramedies on TV, reading fantasy novels, going on hikes in Austin (Walnut Creek Metropolitan is her go-to place), and spending time with her friends and family. When it comes to music, she is a huge fan of Kesha and has gotten to see the singer live in concert 4 different times. Amber also loves Rob Thomas and looks forward to seeing his band, Matchbox Twenty, in concert in the summer of 2023. Amber will eat just about any kind of food, especially if it’s Vietnamese, Tex-Mex, or American comfort food. The best vacation Amber has been on was definitely her honeymoon. She and her husband flew to Puerto Rico and got to visit Aruba (amongst other fun locales) on a Royal Caribbean cruise. One day, Amber hopes to fulfill her dreams of visiting Santorini, Greece. When asked who her hero is, Amber chose her parents. Since having her son, Amber has become even more appreciative of what her parents sacrificed for her during her own childhood. As for some more favorites, Amber’s top-pick movie is 10 Things I Hate About You, her favorite song is “Little Wonders” by Rob Thomas, and she roots for the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs. At home, Amber has 2 adorable dogs named Cooper (Chihuahua/Pug mix) and Maxy (Staffy/Pitbull mix). She also has a sweet little cat named Niles (Orange Tabby).
