Preston Wray

Preston Wray is an accomplished petroleum engineer with extensive experience in drilling operations, currently serving as the Area Drilling Manager for Continental Resources since March 2018. Prior roles at Continental include Drilling Supervisor, Drilling Team Lead, Staff Engineer, and Senior Drilling Engineer, where responsibilities involved managing rigs in the Powder River Basin and Delaware Basin, overseeing drilling permit processes, and focusing on rig performance and cost efficiency. Previously, Preston held senior drilling engineering positions at WPX Energy and RKI Exploration and Production, LLC, and contributed significantly to horizontal drilling projects in various formations. Early career experience includes positions at SandRidge Energy, where significant achievements include designing and overseeing the drilling of numerous horizontal and directional wells. Preston holds a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
