Josh Canoy

Josh Canoy has a diverse range of work experience. Josh started their career as an IT Technician I at Ritter Communications, where they provided first-line support for end-user tickets, imaged laptop/desktops for new employees, and set up iPhones. Josh also created new users in Active Directory and Exchange mailboxes. After that, they were promoted to the role of IT Technician II, where they continued to provide end-user support and also took on responsibilities such as server administration and patching and managing Exchange 2010 user mailboxes.

In 2018, Josh took on the role of System Administrator at Ritter Communications, where they managed hyper-converged infrastructure, implemented and managed Veeam Cloud Connect and Veeam Service Provider Console, and designed Veeam Backup and Replication infrastructure. Josh also provided troubleshooting and support for internal IT and cloud customers.

In 2021, Josh joined Continental Utility Solutions, Inc. as a Cloud Engineer. In this role, they designed, implemented, and managed a multi-tenant Azure Virtual Desktop environment for customers looking to move their utility billing infrastructure to the cloud. Josh used tools such as Azure PowerShell, CLI, and ARM templates to provision customer environments and implemented various features and services including host pools, autoscaling, VM and managed disk sizing, VNet provisioning and peering, FSLogix, recovery service vaults, network security, and automation accounts. Josh also managed log analytic workspaces for OS patching and traffic flow logs and handled identity management.

In 2022, Josh was promoted to the position of Cloud Architect at Continental Utility Solutions, Inc. The duration of this role is ongoing, and further information about their responsibilities is not provided.

Josh Canoy attended Arkansas State University from 2006 to 2011 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Technology.
