Danny O'Brien

Danny O'Brien is the Managing Director for EMEA and Global Programs at SVG Ventures | THRIVE, a role they have held since 2021, leading investments in the Agri-Food Tech sector across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Currently, Danny also serves as a Visiting Professor of Entrepreneurship at ISAMeducation and an Investment Committee Member for the Ceres Agri-Tech Knowledge Exchange Partnership. Previously, they founded Idea 2 Scale and Business Barn, and held roles in various organizations, including Program Director at New York International and Management Consultant at Purple Cubed. Danny earned an MSc in Marketing Practice from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and completed a course in Private Equity & Venture Capital at Harvard Business School in 2023.
