Michael Normand is an accomplished Robotics Engineer serving as the Exoskeleton Lead at Contoro Robotics since March 2022, where responsibilities include overseeing the full production cycle and implementing design changes for the Symphony Exoskeleton. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at Rewire Lab at the University of Texas at Austin from September 2020 to May 2022 and an internship as a Software Engineer Intern at Apptronik, focused on developing tools and systems in Python and the ROS ecosystem. Michael's engineering experience is further highlighted by two internships at Roboligent, where preliminary designs for robot exoskeleton models were created using AutoCAD Inventor. Michael holds both a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, earned in 2022 and 2020, respectively.
