Gon Mevis is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in management, community engagement, and the arts. Currently serving as directeur/bestuurder at CONTOURdeTWERN since May 2011, Gon has focused on strengthening community resilience and promoting voluntary involvement. Concurrently, Gon holds the position of Chairman of the Committee at Taalnetwerk Midden-Brabant and works as a trompettist and organizer for the band Attacca!. From 2018 to 2024, Gon served as voorzitter of the board for Stichting Cliëntondersteuning Zorggroep Midden- en West Brabant, furthering the interests of Thebe's clients. Additional roles include bestuurslid for Stichting Willem II Betrokken, voorzitter of Fiom's Raad van Toezicht, and besturislid at Sociaal Werk Nederland. Gon's previous involvement includes playing trompet for Projekt Rakija, membership in the Raad van Experts for I*ESN Tilburg, and advisory work with the Council of Europe. Educational qualifications include a cum laude doctorate in sociology from Tilburg University and management training from TIAS School for Business and Society.
