Matt Larson

Matt Larson is an experienced fire investigator currently serving at NEFCO Fire Investigations since January 2024, specializing in fire origin and cause determination. Larson has held various roles including Investigator at Contra Costa County Fire Protection District and Logistics/Operations/Facility Unit Leader for the North Bay Incident Management Team. Previous experience includes serving as a Firefighter and President of the Healdsburg Firefighter Association, Fire Origin and Cause Investigator at ProNet Group, and a consultant at Rimkus Consulting Group. Larson's law enforcement background includes roles as a Deputy Sheriff with the County of Marin and Napa County, along with experience in emergency management. Larson holds an Associate's degree in Fire Systems Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Fire Services Administration, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Executive Fire Leadership at Columbia Southern University.
