Steve Aubert

Steve Aubert currently serves as Deputy Fire Marshal for Contra Costa County Fire Protection District since April 2024. Prior to this role, Steve held positions such as Fire Marshal and Public Information Officer at East Contra Costa Fire Protection District from May 2019 to April 2024, and Fire Prevention Captain and Public Information Officer at Contra Costa County Fire Protection District from February 2008 to May 2019. Steve's early career includes serving in the United States Air Force from January 2000 to February 2008, where responsibilities included Fire Chief, Assistant Fire Chief, and Specialist with duties in search and rescue, hazardous materials response, emergency management, and terrorism response. Steve holds a degree in Fire Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Fire Administration from Columbia Southern University.
