Kate Dunbar

Kate Dunbar is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in various roles within the legal system. Currently serving as a Deputy District Attorney for Contra Costa County since January 2018, Kate previously held positions as a Law Clerk at the San Francisco District Attorney's Office and as a Certified Law Clerk at San Mateo District Attorney. Kate's background includes significant courtroom experience, conducting preliminary hearings, and arguing motions in superior court. Additionally, Kate has served as a Judicial Extern for the Supreme Court of California, a Legal Intern within the Writs and Appeals Unit of the San Francisco District Attorney's Office, and has held multiple roles in U.S. Congressional offices focused on oversight and investigations. Kate holds a Juris Doctor from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida.
