Naomi Buckwalter

Naomi Buckwalter has extensive experience in the field of information security, working in various leadership positions. Naomi is currently the Director of Product Security at Contrast Security, a role they started in 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Information Security & IT at Beam Dental from 2021 to 2022, where they created a new Information Security Program and identified security vulnerabilities. From 2018 to 2021, they held multiple roles at Energage, including Director of Information Security & Privacy and Information Security Manager. Naomi also served as the Director of Information Security at Litmus from 2017 to 2018, where they ensured compliance with regulations and managed security of third parties. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Security Engineer at Hibu from 2015 to 2017, focusing on application security and vulnerability management. Naomi also held a leadership position at Vanguard's Chief Technology Office from 2003 to 2015, where they served as the Lead Field Security Architect and was involved in strategic security architecture and assessments. Naomi began their career as a Software Engineer (Co-Op) in the US Army from 2000 to 2002.

Naomi Buckwalter holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science and a Master of Technology Management (Villanova School of Business) degree from Villanova University, which they obtained from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Engineering with a minor in Mathematical Sciences from Stevens Institute of Technology, from 1999 to 2003. Additionally, Naomi has acquired various certifications, including GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), Certified Chief Information Security Officer, Certified Cloud Practitioner, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
