Dereck Aw is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in international relations and political analysis. As a Senior Analyst for South-East Asia at Control Risks since September 2017, Dereck analyzes and assesses various geopolitical risks. Previously, Dereck served as a Political and Prosperity Attaché at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office from June 2014 to May 2017. Additional experience includes a role as a Researcher at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and a Consultant position with IOM. Dereck also completed an internship at Weber Shandwick. Academic qualifications include a Master of International Relations from Peking University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Global Politics, and Philosophy from Ateneo de Manila University.
