Gary Coffey

Gary Coffey is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in crisis management and security consulting. Currently serving as Director of Crisis & Security Consulting at Control Risks since May 2019, Gary develops programs for kidnap-for-ransom scenarios and global travel security preparedness across various industries. Prior to this role, Gary spent over 22 years at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, advancing from Special Agent to Supervisory Special Agent, and ultimately to Supervisory Special Agent and Section Chief, where critical security plans for large-scale events were developed, and a Threat Assessment Program was managed. Gary's early career included serving as a Police Officer at Brewster Police Department. Gary holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Anna Maria College and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island.
