Geert Aalbers

Geert Aalbers serves as the Global Chief Strategy Officer at Control Risks, leading strategy initiatives and participating in the Group Executive Committee since March 2006. Notably, Geert has extensive experience in addressing corruption, fraud, and compliance across Latin America, previously holding the position of Partner and Head of Brazil & Southern Cone. In addition to ongoing responsibilities, Geert is a Strategy Executive Member of The Outthinker Network and a Lecturer on Risk Management and Compliance at Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa. Previous roles include serving on various advisory boards and committees focused on anti-corruption and risk governance. Geert's early career features significant financial leadership positions at Makro Venezuela and Makro South America, along with a solid foundation in consulting at Roland Berger. Educational qualifications include an Executive MBA from BSP - Business School São Paulo and advanced degrees in Law and Economics from the University of Oxford and Erasmus University Rotterdam.
