James Smallwood

James Smallwood is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience in regional security operations across the Asia Pacific. Currently serving as Principal and Head of Regional Security Operations at Control Risks since September 2021, Smallwood previously held the role of Security Director for International SOS, where responsibilities included managing multidisciplinary teams and conducting intelligence processes to mitigate risks for clients in the region. Smallwood's career also includes a decade of service as an Army Officer in the Department of Defence. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in History and Politics from UNSW and attendance at the Royal Military College - Duntroon.
