Hendrik Louw

Hendrik Louw has a robust background in environmental management and conservation, currently serving as the Assistant Global Organic Program Manager at Control Union since April 2020. Prior experience includes roles as Certification Manager and Officer at Ecocert Southern Africa from December 2016 to April 2020, and Inspector/Client Liaison Manager at Ecocert from June 2014 to April 2020, where responsibilities involved inspections according to various international standards. Earlier roles include Southern Elephant, Arctic, and Sub-Antarctic Seal Researcher at the Department of Environmental Affairs and Research Assistant at the University of the Free State, focusing on water-related topics. Hendrik’s career in conservation began with game capture and in-service training at Mapungubwe National Park. Education includes a Master's Degree in Environmental Management with a focus on Water Science from the University of the Free State and ongoing studies in Nature Conservation at Nelson Mandela University.
