Saeunn Thorkelsdottir

Saeunn Thorkelsdottir has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Saeunn joined Controlant in 2021 as the Director of Procurement and Supply Chain Management before being promoted to the role of VP of Procurement in 2022. Prior to that, they held various positions at Eimskip, including Senior Manager of Procurement and Cost Control, Import Manager, Logistics, and Global Process Manager. Saeunn also worked as a Sales Consultant for Eimskip and as a Lecturer in Supply Chain Management at Reykjavik University. Saeunn Thorkelsdottir has demonstrated their expertise in procurement and supply chain management throughout their career. Additionally, they have been involved in board roles with Aðalsmíd ehf, SVFR Reykjavík Angling Club - Women's Division, and Akademía, styrkarsjóður. Saeunn has also served as Chairman for the Professional Group on Procurement and Supply Chain Management at Stjórnvísi.

Saeunn Thorkelsdottir has a Master's Degree in International Business from Strathclyde Business School, which was obtained from 2008 to 2009. Saeunn also holds a BSc in Business, with a focus on Marketing, from Háskóli Íslands, completed from 2003 to 2006. In 2019, they pursued a course on the Responsibility of Board Members at Reykjavik University. Additionally, they completed a program on Quality Management as part of their continuous education at Háskóli Íslands in 2010. Saeunn's education includes a matriculation examination from Menntaskólinn í Reykjavík in 1999.
