Dan Fox

Dan Fox has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and technology. Dan currently holds the position of Director, Cybersecurity Services at ScalePad since 2023. Prior to that, Dan was the Co-Founder at ControlMap Inc, which was acquired by ScalePad in 2023. At ControlMap, they revolutionized cybersecurity compliance across frameworks.

In addition, Dan worked as a Product Manager (Consultant) at Great Notion Brewing in 2021, where they played a crucial role in enhancing the company's online/app experience. Dan also served as an Advisor at Lend Some Money in 2022.

Dan has held senior product management roles at Carbonite and Webroot. Dan joined Carbonite through the acquisition of Webroot in 2019 and continued to lead Carbonite/Webroot's cybersecurity awareness-as-a-service until Carbonite was acquired by OpenText later that year. At Webroot, they were responsible for delivering security awareness services to businesses and MSP partners.

Prior to their role at Webroot, Dan was the CEO and Co-Founder of Securecast, a SaaS-based security awareness platform. Securecast was acquired by Webroot in 2017 and is now an OpenText company.

Dan's earlier career includes roles at Smarsh and Alain Pinel Realtors. At Smarsh, they held leadership positions in sales engineering, information security, and technology. Dan was responsible for developing information security policies and managing sales engineering teams. At Alain Pinel Realtors, they managed the internal network and technology infrastructure for the real estate firm.

Before that, Dan worked as a Systems Administrator at Milestone Technologies, where they gained experience in data center operations and migrations for major companies like Cisco, Yahoo, Microsoft, and Gap.

Dan Fox has a diverse education history that includes multiple institutions and fields of study. Dan attended Oregon Institute of Technology, where they pursued a degree in General Studies with a focus on Computer/Information Technology Administration and Business Management. After that, they enrolled at Mission College, where they studied Business Administration and Management, General. Later, they attended Portland Community College to further their knowledge in the field of Information Technology. Prior to these college experiences, Dan Fox completed their high school education at Santa Clara High School, where they focused on General Studies. Additionally, they obtained a Diploma in Information Technology from Technical College San Jose.

In terms of certifications, Dan Fox has obtained several. Dan became a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) through Infosec in January 2012. Dan also holds a certification as a Microsoft Certified Professional, along with certifications as a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator - Exchange and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, all earned through Microsoft.
