Peter Piela

Peter Piela has extensive experience in software development and leadership roles. Peter is currently the Vice President of Software Development at ARES PRISM Software. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Software Development at gateless, inc., where they led the development of an AI-based automation platform for document classification and data extraction. Peter also worked as the Vice President of Development at AI Foundry, overseeing the development of an Intelligent Process Automation platform. Earlier in their career, Peter held leadership positions at Cray Inc., Terascala, Allen Systems Group, Inc., Segue Software, Aspen Technology, and Carnegie Mellon University. Their roles included Director of Platform Software R&D, Vice President of Software Development, Director of Development, Vice President of Product Development, and Research Faculty. Throughout their career, Peter has demonstrated expertise in developing innovative software solutions and leading successful development teams.

Peter Piela completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College of Science and Technology from 1976 to 1979. Peter then pursued further education and obtained a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, studying from 1984 to 1989.
