Sean Willis

Sean Willis has extensive experience in research and development within the medical device industry. Sean currently holds the position of Vice President Research & Development, Advanced Wound Care at ConvaTec since February 2022. Prior to that, Sean served as Vice President, Research and Development, Embolization Platform at Boston Scientific from August 2019 to December 2021. Sean also worked at BTG plc where they held roles as VP R&D from July 2017 to September 2019 and Technical Director from April 2013 to July 2017. Before that, Sean held the position of Senior Manager at BIOTRONIK from September 2011 to April 2013, and Development Director at Biocompatibles from August 1995 to August 2011.

Sean Willis obtained a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham from 1992 to 1995. Sean also completed a Masters in Polymer Synthesis & Technology at Lancaster University from 1991 to 1992. Additionally, they attended Cranfield School of Management in 2010 and 2011, focusing on General Management.
