Maarten Claes

Maarten Claes is a seasoned software engineer and technology leader with extensive experience in various engineering roles. Currently serving as a Founding Engineer at Conveo since October 2024, Maarten also works as a software consultant at mcls.io since April 2022. Previously, Maarten held significant positions including Director of Engineering at Farmgirl Flowers and CTO at Inflights, where contributions included the development of an MVP utilized by numerous drone pilots globally and the automation of photogrammetry processing. Maarten's career began as a software engineer at Digiti and evolved through roles at PlayPass CVBA and DataCamp, where responsibilities ranged from backend system design to managing engineering teams during rapid company growth. Maarten holds a degree in Multimedia & Communicatietechnologie from Karel de Grote-Hogeschool.
