Convergence Blended Finance
Andrew Apampa, CFA, is an experienced finance professional currently serving as a Manager at Convergence Blended Finance since January 2020. Prior to this role, Andrew was a Senior Associate at the African Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (AVCA) from 2017 to October 2019, and held multiple positions at HSBC Global Banking and Markets, including Emerging Markets Equity Strategist and European Equity Strategist. Andrew began a career as a Summer Analyst at Goldman Sachs in 2011. Academically, Andrew earned an MPhil in Modern Society and Global Transformations from the University of Cambridge after completing a BA in Politics, Psychology, and Sociology (PPS) at the same institution. Early education was completed at Rochester Grammar School.

Convergence is the global network for blended finance. They generate blended finance data, intelligence, and deal flow to increase private sector investment in developing countries. Their global membership includes public, private, and philanthropic investors as well as sponsors of transactions and funds. They offer this community a curated, onlineplatform to connect with each other on blended finance transactions in progress, as well as exclusive access to tailored training and original knowledge products such as case studies and reports. To accelerate advances in the field, Convergence also provides grants for the design of vehicles that could attract private capital to global development at scale.
