Convergence Blended Finance
Joan M. Larrea serves as the CEO of Convergence, a global network dedicated to enhancing private sector investment in developing countries through blended finance data and intelligence. With expertise in infrastructure and sustainable development, Larrea is a member of the ASIA Panel for Infrastructure Asia, an Independent Investment Committee member for the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet, and part of the Advisory Group for Non-Grant Instruments at the Global Environment Facility. Previous roles include advisory positions with the Millennium Challenge Corporation, FinDev Canada, and the Impact Canada Initiative, as well as managing directorships at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation and the Global Environment Fund. Joan M. Larrea holds an MBA with distinction from The Wharton School, an MA in International Studies from The Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA magna cum laude in Oriental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, complemented by studies at Peking University and Middlebury College.

Convergence is the global network for blended finance. They generate blended finance data, intelligence, and deal flow to increase private sector investment in developing countries. Their global membership includes public, private, and philanthropic investors as well as sponsors of transactions and funds. They offer this community a curated, onlineplatform to connect with each other on blended finance transactions in progress, as well as exclusive access to tailored training and original knowledge products such as case studies and reports. To accelerate advances in the field, Convergence also provides grants for the design of vehicles that could attract private capital to global development at scale.
