Shane Laing

Shane Laing is a seasoned cybersecurity professional currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Convergence Networks since January 2021, where responsibilities include providing executive-level security guidance and tailored cybersecurity strategies for a diverse client base. Previously, Shane held the CISO role at BCNET, leading corporate cybersecurity strategy and stakeholder engagement across multiple institutions. At Island Health, expertise in incident management and security oversight was applied, along with risk assessment and mitigation. Earlier experience includes roles as a virtual CISO and Consultant at Convergence Networks, IT Manager for the Town of Greater Napanee, and Network Manager at AmerisourceBergen, showcasing a robust background in information technology management.
