Dan Poole is a CISM and CTMA with extensive experience in network infrastructure operations, IT project management, and cybersecurity. Dan has held several leadership positions, including Vice President of Information Technology and Director of Information Technology, where they efficiently matched technologies with organizational objectives, oversaw IT projects, and formulated IT policies. Dan has also worked as an IT Manager, Network Operations Manager, Cyber Security Analyst, and Systems Administrator in various companies, where their roles involved overseeing security, infrastructure, service desk, vendor management, and producing required metrics. Dan is currently a Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) at DOT Security, where they provide expert guidance on IT security matters.

Dan Poole obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University from 1992 to 1994, with a field of study in Business Administration and Management. Dan also received several additional certifications over the span of their career, including the Certified Threat & Malware Analyst (CTMA) from the Network Intelligence Institute of Information Security in January 2022, the Emeritus Institute of Management in Cybersecurity from MIT Management Executive Education in 2019, and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA in June 2019. In addition, they obtained a CMNO certification from Cisco Meraki in April 2018, a Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA Routing and Switching) certification in October 2017, a CCNA Security certification from Cisco in October 2017, and a Certified Professional Forensics Analyst (CPFA) from Network Intelligence.
