Angelo Frisani has a diverse work experience in the field of nuclear engineering and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Angelo started their career as an intern at Westinghouse Electric Company, where they worked on developing evaluation models for non-LOCA transient accidents of the IRIS reactor. Angelo then worked as a research assistant at the University of Pisa, focusing on the three-dimensional analysis of VVER-1000 transient core behavior.

After that, Angelo joined CEA - Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives for a summer internship, conducting an extensive benchmark of the FLICA-OVAP CFD code against NUPEC PWR Bundle Tests experimental data.

Angelo then pursued a PhD in Nuclear Engineering at Texas A&M University, where their research focused on solution algorithms with non-body conforming grids in computational fluid dynamics.

Angelo later joined Areva as an Engineer III, where they were responsible for safety analysis of Westinghouse/Combustion Engineering power plants and the application of thermal-hydraulic System/CFD models for safety analysis.

Currently, they are working at Convergent Science as a Senior Research and Development Engineer, involved in the development, maintenance, improvement, and debugging of the CONVERGE software code.

Angelo Frisani holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Nuclear Engineering, which they obtained from Texas A&M University from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued their Master of Science (MS) degree in Nuclear Engineering from the same university, studying from 2007 to 2010. Earlier in their education, Angelo completed their Master of Science (MS) in Nuclear Engineering from Università di Pisa, attending from 1998 to 2005.
