Software Research Engineer - HPC Group at Convergent Science

Sidarth N. started their work experience in 2018 as an In Plant Trainee at Pratt & Whitney. In 2019, they worked as a Summer Research Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where they parallelized a CFD solver and analyzed vector level optimization for the COMP-SQUARE team.

In 2021, Sidarth worked as an Engineering Intern at Avian Aerospace, leading a team to design and fabricate a quadcopter with unique landing capabilities and optimizing motor mount design. Sidarth also conducted a drone workshop and presented a webinar on drone regulations.

In 2022, Sidarth worked as an Electronics thermal management intern at Altair, where they fixed bugs in the CFD solver, developed and implemented a PETSc solver, and studied the feasibility of porting the solver to Julia.

In 2023, Sidarth joined the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue University as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Later in the year, they became an Engineer II - HPC Group at Convergent Science.

Sidarth N. began their education at Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School in 2002 and completed their Higher Secondary Education in the field of Computer Science in 2016. Subsequently, they attended Madras Institute of Technology from 2016 to 2020, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering. Currently, Sidarth is pursuing their Master of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering at Purdue University, which they are expected to complete in 2023. Additionally, they have earned a certification in Master of Science in Aeronautics & Astronautics from the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Purdue University in May 2023.
