Suraj Khalate

Suraj Khalate has over 13 years of experience in the field of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and research engineering. Suraj is currently working as a Senior Research Engineer-Application at Convergent Science since September 2021. Previously, Suraj worked as a Principal Engineer - CFD at Pentair from February 2020 to September 2021, where they were responsible for developing project plans, simulation capabilities, and validating design concepts. Before that, they served as a Technical Specialist- CFD at Analyzer CAE Solution Pvt.Ltd from August 2019 to February 2020, where they managed technical requirements and provided training on different types of CFD simulations.

From 2014 to 2019, Suraj held multiple positions at Cummins India, including Technical Specialist- CFD (Exhaust Aftertreatment system) and Thermal and Fluid Science Engineer - Senior Engineer. During their time at Cummins India, they worked on various projects related to flow and thermal analysis of engine components, engine cooling system performance optimization, and the development of flow metrics for DEF mixer.

Prior to joining Cummins India, Suraj worked as a Sr. CFD Engineer at DANA INDIA TECHNICAL CENTRE PRIVATE LIMITED from 2011 to 2014, where they used tools like STAR CCM+ and Hyper Mesh for their CFD analysis. Suraj also had experience as a CFD Analysis Engineer at Tata Technologies from 2010 to 2011 and as a CFD Analyst at Analyzer CAE solutions pvt ltd from 2008 to 2010.

Overall, Suraj Khalate has a strong background in CFD and has worked on various projects related to exhaust aftertreatment systems, engine components, and thermal analysis.

Suraj Khalate completed their M.Tech. degree in Thermal Engineering from VIT Pune, University of Pune, from 2009 to 2011.
