Wei Wang

Senior Research Engineer at Convergent Science

Wei Wang has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries. They started their career as an intern at Beijing Ceris Corporation in 2006 and 2008, where they classified construction data, participated in meetings, and prepared monthly statements. In 2013, they worked as an Assistant Engineer at FSP North America Inc., where they communicated with customers in the US and collaborated with the Design department in China to develop design requirements and suggestions. From 2017 to 2020, Wei served as a Research Assistant at the University of Florida, focusing on numerically studying aerodynamics and aeroacoustics of compressible particle-laden jets. They also maintained and developed a parallel compressible CFD solver and designed and conducted experiments in wind tunnels. Currently, Wei is working as a Research Engineer at Convergent Science since March 2021.

Wei Wang has an extensive education history. Starting in 2006, they attended Huazhong University of Science and Technology and obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering in 2010. Following this, from 2010 to 2012, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of La Verne, focusing on the field of Finance, General. Continuing their education, Wei Wang then attended the University of Florida, where they completed a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering from 2016 to 2017. Finally, they went on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florida from 2017 to 2020.
