Frank Levinson

Frank Levinson is currently a General Partner at Phoenix Venture Partners, focusing on investing in companies with unique material science, including biotech, photonics, and devices based on novel materials. Frank is also a General Partner at Convergent Ventures, where Frank focuses on opportunities in photonics. In addition, Frank serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at Fabrinet and was the Founder and Managing Partner at Small World Group Ventures LLC. Previously, Frank founded Finisar Corp and served as the CTO and Chairman. Throughout their career, Frank has held various roles in companies such as Ericsson Raynet, Bell Labs/Bellcore, and has a PHD in Astronomy from the University of Virginia and a BS in Physics and Mathematics from Butler University.
