Stephan Greene has been working in the technology industry since 1995. Their work experience includes being a Faculty Research Assistant at the Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory at the University of Maryland College Park from 1995 to 1997, a Computational Linguist at Language Analysis Systems from 1997 to 1999, a Senior Software Engineer at AnswerLogic from 1999 to 2001, a Senior Software Engineer at Primus Knowledge Solutions from 2001 to 2004, a Senior Software Engineer, NLP/Search at Art Technology Group (now part of Oracle) from 2004 to 2011, a Senior NLP Engineer at CodeRyte (now part of 3M Health Information Systems) from 2011 to 2013, a NLP Lead at newBrandAnalytics from 2013 to 2015, and a Lead Engineer at Sprinklr from 2015 to 2018. Most recently, Stephan has been the Chief Technology Officer at Converseon.AI since 2018.

Stephan Greene obtained their PhD in Computational Linguistics from the University of Maryland in 2007. Prior to this, they completed a BS in Applied Mathematics / Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
