Alexander Fordyce

Alexander Fordyce has a strong background in software development and management. Alexander currently works at Conversica as the Manager of Software Development, leading the Model Operations team. In this role, they collaborate with product management to establish priorities and contributes technically to projects. Prior to this, Alexander held the position of Software Development Engineer 2 at Conversica, where they prototyped and implemented new data processing features for the AI-Platform team. Alexander began their career at ProQuest as a Software Developer I, specializing in automating workflow processes and acquiring data through web scraping, OAI-PMH harvests, and automated FTP delivery. Prior to their career in software development, Alexander worked as a Laboratory Technician at CASE Forensics.

Alexander Fordyce received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Chemistry and Philosophy from the University of Washington in 2008. Alexander then pursued their Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2019. In addition to their formal education, Alexander also obtained various certifications, including an Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python (Part 2) and (Part 1) from Coursera Verified Certificates in 2015, a Java Programming Certificate from O'Reilly School of Technology in 2014, and a range of other certifications in areas such as bioinformatics, data science, and optimization from Coursera.
