Convert Well is on a mission to enable natural gas fields to be converted at source to produce more and lower-cost hydrogen for industrial use.

We use physics-based software for gas field owners to screen producing gas fields for their suitability and the economics of converting gas fields into Upstream Hydrogen producers. 

Upstream Hydrogen is a type of Blue Hydrogen, combining low-carbon hydrogen production at a gas processing site with enhancing gas recovery- to only create more low-carbon hydrogen. This will most likely be sold along the existing value chain to industrial users of hydrogen, who make ammonia (for fertiliser), methanol  and increasingly, low-carbon steel. 

This novel (patent pending) system reduces both the carbon and cost compared to 'normal' Blue Hydrogen. All CO2 from methane reforming and from the provision of energy is injected back into the base of the same producing gas reservoir, within a few minutes of production.
