Christina Yan Zhang

Dr. Christina Yan Zhang serves as the CEO of The Metaverse Institute, leading a team of pioneers in Metaverse and related technologies aimed at enhancing efficiency and revenue. Concurrently, Dr. Zhang holds the position of Co-chairman of the Task Group on Pre-standardization for the CitiVerse at the International Telecommunication Union and Vice-Chairman of the Metaverse Working Group on Sustainability, Accessibility & Inclusion. Additional roles include Advisory Council Member for The Centre for Science Futures at the International Science Council, Chairperson of the 2024 MEWS Awards, Advisor at the Seoul Digital Foundation, and member of various influential councils and boards, including techUK and HFS Research. Dr. Zhang's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and an MA in Media and Cultural Analysis from Loughborough University.
