Ian Carey

Ian Carey is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in the insurance sector. Currently serving as the SOX Mission Lead and Head of Finance Operational Excellence at Convex Insurance since August 2020, Ian has held multiple leadership roles, including interim positions in digital finance, tax, and group treasury. Prior to Convex Insurance, Ian operated as a Director at ICarey Consulting Ltd, where responsibilities included advising on compliance for infrastructure debt funds and assisting global reinsurers with capital optimisation pitches. Ian also has a notable history with KPMG UK, CARIO Consulting, Prudential Assurance, Societe Generale, Barclays Capital, Tillinghast, and HSBC, showcasing a diverse background in capital management, structured insurance solutions, and actuarial consultancy. Ian holds a Fellowship from the Institute of Actuaries, obtained between 1993 and 1997.
