Jibin Zhan has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Jibin began their career at Nortel Networks as a Member of Technical Staff and worked there from 1994 to 1997. Jibin then joined ANS/UUNET as a Senior Software Engineer and Senior Network Engineer from 1997 to 2000. After that, they worked at Cisco as a Senior Software Engineer for a brief period. Later, they joined Turin Networks as a Senior Manager, Control Plane from 2000 to 2002. In 2003, they became a System Project Director at Carnegie Mellon University, where they worked until 2006. Jibin then joined Conviva, starting as a Manager, Team Lead, Member of Technical Staff in 2006 and gradually took on more senior roles, including Director of Engineering and Vice President of Engineering. In these positions, they were responsible for platform and product engineering, big data infrastructure, web app development, video monitoring, data analysis, and device and ecosystem engineering.

Jibin Zhan has a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Simon Fraser University. Jibin also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Peking University. Prior to their university education, they attended Huanggang Middle School in Huanggang, Hubei, China.
