Apala Roy

Apala Roy is currently the Associate Director - Brand Solutions at Convosight. Prior to this, they were the Brand Manager at VoltUp from September 2019 to February 2021. In this role, they were responsible for building brand identity & guidelines, planning of marketing initiatives, control budget, execution of brand campaign with the AD agencies and vendors. Apala also tracked digital marketing trends and potential new channels, managed all digital assets and improved its utilisation with the help of SEO, SEM, SMO and managed all content.

From October 2014 to September 2018, Apala was the Brand Lead at 22feet Tribal Worldwide. In this role, they were responsible for developing promotion schemes after competitor’s analysis, PIC for Dealers POP (for Sales Dept), collaborating with research and creative agencies to build up sharp briefs & drive compelling consumer communication anchored in strong consumer insights, campaign ideation & creative development. Apala also planned and conducted agency pitch, negotiated creative fee, reviewed & closed agency contracts, and ideated and executed events to engage stakeholders (dealers) and consumers.

Prior to that, Apala was an Account Manager at Dentsu Aegis Network from May 2011 to October 2014. In this role, they managed multiple accounts and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards. Apala also liaised with clients and provided them with updates on project progress.

Apala started their career as an Assistant Account Executive at Ogilvy & Mather Advertising from May 2010 to December 2011. In this role, they provided administrative support to account executives and helped with the preparation of reports and proposals.

Apala Roy completed their Master of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies at Commits. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts in English Literature at the University of Calcutta.
