Michael Romero, MSCS, PMP has over 20 years of work experience in the field of information technology. Michael is currently working at Convoso as a Lead Infrastructure Engineer, where they are in the process of modernizing the infrastructure by implementing automated provisioning and auto-scaling techniques. Prior to this, Michael worked at IBM for 10 years, where they held various roles such as Systems Automation Developer, Infrastructure Architect, and Virtualization Infrastructure Lead. During their time at IBM, they were responsible for creating systems automation using platforms like Chef and Jenkins, as well as designing and implementing VMware vSphere automation. Before joining IBM, Michael worked at Apollo Group as a Linux Systems Engineer and Java Developer, where they developed scripts for system health checks and implemented a web portal for administrators to view system health. Michael also worked at Wells Fargo as an Enterprise Content Management Architect and Lead Systems Engineer, where they led the deployment of Vignette Content Management System and implemented performance tuning solutions. Prior to that, they worked at IBM Global Services - Applications on Demand as a Linux Technical Lead and Vignette Application/Web Systems Engineer, where they established deployment standards for Linux systems and managed web environments for American Express. Michael's early career includes experience at Prodigy Internet as a Systems Administrator, where they administered various servers and received recognition for designing and implementing IRC. Michael obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating between 2018 and 2022. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at California State University, Fullerton from 2016 to 2018. Michael began their academic journey at Fullerton College, where they pursued an Associate's Degree in Computer Science from 2012 to 2016. Michael's educational background is complemented by a High School Diploma in General Studies from Norwalk High School, which they earned between 1991 and 1996.

Additionally, Michael Romero obtained several certifications that enhance their professional qualifications. Michael earned the titles of AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, and AWS Certified Developer – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2020.
