Hamza Ali Shah

Hamza Ali Shah has a diverse range of work experience in the field of business intelligence and analytics. Hamza is currently working as the Head of Business Intelligence at convz since 2022. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior BI & Analytics Manager at convz from 2021 to 2022.

Before joining convz, Hamza worked at Sprii.com as the Head of Business Intelligence from 2020 to 2021. In this role, they oversaw various BI operations, including reporting, data support, analytics, data warehousing, and ETL development. Hamza also played a key role in designing and developing the data warehouse layer for Sprii, improving data accuracy and adaptability.

From 2017 to 2020, Hamza worked at Daraz (Alibaba Group) in various roles. Hamza started as a Business Intelligence Analyst and eventually became the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst and Team Lead. Hamza managed a team of analysts, provided analytical support, developed dashboards, and implemented data governance SOPs. Hamza also served as the Project Manager for Project Yatra in Singapore, where they prioritized business and product team requirements and managed reporting needs.

Prior to their roles at Daraz, Hamza worked as a Technical Trainee at Inbox Business Technologies from 2016 to 2017. Hamza also gained internship experience at Schneider Electric, Asia Petroleum Limited, and Alstom Grid, where they learned about project planning, LEAN implementation, electrical and instrumentation, manufacturing, and AutoCAD designing.

Hamza Ali Shah completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) between 2012 and 2016. Prior to that, they pursued their GCE Advanced Level in Pre-Engineering at The City School, PAF Chapter from 2010 to 2012. Hamza also completed their GCE Ordinary Level in Pre-Engineering at The City School from 2008 to 2010. Hamza Ali Shah has an additional certification in Fivetran Technical from Fivetran, obtained in 2021.
