Umar Iqbal has a solid work experience in the field of data engineering and software engineering. Umar currently serves as the Head of Data Engineering Platform at Convz since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Engineering - Team Lead at Convz from February 2022 to March 2023. Before joining Convz, Umar was employed at Daraz, where they held the position of Senior Data Engineer from March 2020 to April 2022, and Data Engineer (Data/ETL/BI) from July 2019 to March 2020. Umar started their career at Afiniti as an Intern in June 2016 and later worked as an Analyst Software Engineer (Data/ETL) and Software Engineer (Data/ETL) from May 2017 to January 2019 and February 2019 to March 2020 respectively.
Umar Iqbal attended Iqra University from 2013 to 2017, where they pursued a Bachelor of Computer Science. In 2019, they also obtained a certification in "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python)" from Coursera.
