Demond Cook

Demond Cook, CISM, is a cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in governance, risk, and compliance. As Principal at Cook Consulting Group since June 2020, Demond has focused on developing cybersecurity strategies and strengthening stakeholder relationships. Previously, as Senior Principal Engineer at Trace3, responsibilities included ensuring compliance with multiple security standards and leading vendor assessments. At Interpublic Group, Demond enhanced the Third Party Risk Management Program and led the ISO 27001 Program Management, achieving certification compliance. While at NBCUniversal and First Data Corporation, Demond played critical roles in incident response and security monitoring, specifically in compliance with PCI-DSS. Earlier work included significant contributions to security analysis at the NBA and paralegal support for the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Rutgers University and an Entrepreneurship Pioneers Initiative certification from Rutgers Business School.
