Nicole Chaney

Director Of Labor & Employment at Cook County Assessor's Office

Nicole Chaney currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law since August 2023 and as the Director of Labor & Employment at the Cook County Assessor's Office since June 2021. Previously, Nicole held the position of Chief Legal Counsel for Teamsters Local 700 from March 2019 to August 2020, and served as Senior Labor Counsel at Cook County Government for a brief period in 2019. Prior roles include General Counsel for Teamsters Local 700 from April 2014 to October 2018, and Staff Attorney at The John Marshall Law School Veterans Legal Support Center & Clinic. Nicole was also involved with The John Marshall Law School Review of Intellectual Property Law as an Articles Editor and completed a judicial externship with the Honorable Rosemary Grant Higgins at The Circuit Court of Cook County. Nicole earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan.
