Andrea Gibson currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at Cook County Health, a position held since January 2022. In addition, Andrea has been the Director of Project Management and Operational Excellence at Cook County Health and Hospitals System since May 2015, where responsibilities include leading the Project Management Office and coordinating various initiative teams. Prior experience includes serving as the Budget Director at the Cook County Office of Budget and Management from 2011 to May 2015, where Andrea managed a $3 billion budget and addressed significant budget deficits. Additionally, Andrea held roles at the City of Chicago's Office of Budget and Management, contributing to the $8 billion city budget. Andrea holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government, as well as Environmental Studies and German from Macalester College.
