Beena Peters

Beena Peters is a highly experienced nursing leader with significant contributions to healthcare organizations. At Cook County Health from October 2018 to May 2021, Beena served as System Chief Nurse Executive and System Chief Nursing Officer. Prior to this role, Beena held multiple positions at UI Health — University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System from January 2003 to October 2018, including Associate Chief Nursing Officer and Administrator for Children's Hospital, where responsibilities included nursing practice excellence and operational efficiency for Women, Children & Psychiatric Services. Beena also directed the NIDCAP Training Center, facilitating training for NIDCAP professionals across the United States, and managed substantial nursing services and budgets in prior roles. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and a Master's degree in Nursing, both from the University of Illinois Chicago.
